About Us.

Madi is the founder of Type Poets Society. She is a performer and poet based in NYC who lives part of the year in New Orleans. She writes poems full of images and themes of nature that are multifaceted and often contradictory. Her poems have been published in Quail Bell Magazine, MUSE Literary Journal, and Antigravity Magazine. My poem “Past Dream Storms” received an honorable mention for the 2023 Holden Vaughn Spangler Award and my poem “On Remembering Hardwoods” was a finalist for the 2023 Poetry Broadside Contest with lmnl lit. She studied English Literature and Environmental Studies at Washington College. Her biggest poetic influences are Lucille Clifton, Joy Harjo, Ross Gay, Mary Oliver, Louise Glück, and Lawrence Ferlinghetti.
